Who's taken Fiona and why?

Excerpt from Finding Fiona:

He had promised he would come back, but when and what did he intend to do with her? She began shivering uncontrollably and crawled back onto the bed, pulling the duvet tight trying to get warm.

“Someone must be looking for me”, she said aloud to the empty room. “Please find me!” she whimpered before beginning to cry again.
